9 Houses Fans Are BEGGING Universal to Bring to Halloween Horror Nights

Can you believe we’re just 6 months away from the scariest time in Universal Orlando?

We’re talking about Halloween Horror Nights, of course — where people pay to go into elaborately themed haunted houses and get scared out of their wits. We’ve got some big HHN fans on our team (and some, like me, who cower at home looking at PHOTOS), and these are the houses fans are REALLY hoping to see this year!

Now, to clarify, none of these houses are confirmed! These are just houses/themes that fans of the event are really hoping to see this year!

Beetlejuice 2

Many horror fans are really hoping to see a Beetlejuice 2 house this year due to the new film coming out on September 5th, 2024!

This would match PERFECTLY because you can already meet Beetlejuice in the park! We’re crossing our fingers, that’s for sure.

Abigail

Abigail is the newest film by the Blumhouse production company, which typically has a house at Halloween Horror Nights.

This film was just released on April 19th, 2024, and follows a group of would-be criminals as they kidnap the daughter of a powerful underworld figure. Little do they know, this adorable ballerina is actually a vampire (whoops).

Dracula

Okay, this one really just came straight from Quincy, who REALLY wants a Halloween Horror Nights house solely dedicated to Dracula.

And while I’m not a horror fan, I get the vibe you’re going for, Q! There’s plenty of lore behind Dracula that could make it a great house for HHN, especially with Epic Universe’s Dark Universe on the way.

Ghostbusters

After the most recent Ghostbusters film was released on March 22nd, 2024, a lot of fans would really love to see a house dedicated to the film or the universe as a whole.

Since this world has been alive since 1984, I think it’d be a pretty great way to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the original film, and a lot of fans agree! It’s not technically a horror film, more of a comedy/fantasy mix, but those have still proven to work pretty well at HHN, so there’s hope!

Nightmare on Elm Street

Speaking of the 40th Anniversaries, you know what other film is celebrating 40 years? Nightmare on Elm Street! (Shoutout to Quincy for knowing that one basically off the top of her head.)

This is a horror film that’s considered by many to be a classic, so what better way to celebrate this big milestone?

Five Nights at Freddy’s

Many video game fans were THRILLED to find out that Five Nights at Freddy’s was becoming a film, which came out in October 2023. The film did very well in theaters, easily bringing in well over its $20 million budget, which leads a lot of fans to believe that it may be a house this year!

The film came out too late in 2023 to be a house for that year, and since it was unclear how the film version of the story would be received, it makes a lot of sense why they would potentially wait until now to do a house — they’ve made sure it’s popular and it’s still fresh in people’s minds!

A Quiet Place

A lot of fans have also been talking about the probability of a new house based on the new A Quiet Place: Day One film coming out on June 28th, 2024.

We think this would make an excellent (and supremely terrifying) house and many HHN fans agree! Now, it does sit in a bit of a strange place since it’s coming out pretty close to when HHN begins, but other films in this franchise have proven to be very popular, which may be enough.

Dead Man’s Pier

Many fans on our team LOVED the Dead Man’s Pier: Winter’s Wake house from 2022, which served as the unofficial sequel to the scare zone “Dead Man’s Wharf.”

This house was set in a New England fishing town that was being attacked by ghosts of fishermen during an icy storm. Our team would LOVE to see a follow-up to this house, or just to have the event bring back the original house!

The Weeknd: After Hours Nightmare

The Weekend is a Canadian singer-songwriter who has grown to be extremely popular over the past decade or so. In 2022, he had a house at Halloween Horror Nights called The Weeknd: After Hours Nightmare that many members of our team LOVED.

The Weeknd After Hours

The house was essentially a walkthrough of what it was like to create his album After Hours, but after going through a “nightmare extraction.” In order for guests to really see what was going on in his mind while creating this album, the “nightmare extraction” is what brought all these strange and scary images to life. It was unique, fun, and something we’d really love to see again!

We’re hoping to hear announcements on what we can expect this year soon, and we’ll be sure to let you know right away, so stay tuned to AllEars!
