MAY 2008

Restaurantosaurus at Disney's Animal Kingdom is now offering its own brand of chicken nuggets and french fries, rather than McDonalds Chicken McNuggets and fries. In addition, starting Wednesday, the counter service restaurant will begin offering a new dessert menu and new children's meals.

The Diamond Horseshoe in the Magic Kingdom's Frontierland will be open for quick service lunch (sandwiches, chips, and snacks) from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 17, 24, 25, 27, and 30.

APRIL 2008

Reservations are now being accepted for arrivals June 30, 2008, and later at The Wave , located at Disney's Contemporary Resort. The restaurant, a casual dining table service restaurant that features American cooking blended with world flavors, will offer a classic American breakfast, a quick and casual lunch, and dinner. In addition, the stylish contemporary lounge will offer new world wines with a twist and trendy cocktails with natural flavors. The restaurant will accept one entitlement from the Disney Dining Plan and will honor the DVC, Passholder, Disney Dining Experience, and Cast Member discounts as currently accepted at Concourse Steakhouse.

Cap'n Jack's at Downtown Disney will be closed for rehab from May 12 - May 17, 2008

Reminder that special "holiday" pricing will be in effect at the buffets from May 25 - July 5, 2008!

Many menus around the World reflect recent price increases. At Le Cellier in Epcot, for example, most appetizers increased by $1.00, while the mushroom stuffed filet and New York Strip Steak jumped from $29.99 to $34.99. Chicken and prime rib entrees are also up $1.00. In addition, the menu now includes a Chili-Seared Pork Tenderloin, with pickled vegetables and Udon noodles tossed in peanut sauce for $21.99.

There is a new, expanded menu at Citricos at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The restaurant, which features cuisine inspired by the Mediterranean regions of France, Italy and Spain, is now open seven days a week through July 5, 2008. Among other selections, the new menu items include Sweet Onion Bisque, Seared Tuna Carpaccio, Roasted Chicken Breast with Torchiette Pasta, and Bone-In Ribeye.

The Orlando Sentinel has reported that The Cheesecake Factory is pulling out of DisneyQuest at Downtown Disney's West Side. The Cheesecake Factory Express restaurant there will be converted into a Disney-owned and operated counter-service eatery in late May. The menu is expected to be similar to current offerings.

MARCH 2008

Wolfgang Puck's Express has reopened in the Marketplace at Downtown Disney.

El Pirata y El Perico , in the Magic Kingdom's Adventureland, is open from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and may remain open through the summer.

Citricos fine dining in the Grand Floridian is now open 7 days a week and will continue to do so through July 5, 2008.

Concourse Steakhouse - Previously AllEars reported that the Concourse Steakhouse in the Contemporary resort would close beginning May 11th. The new closing date is May 31, 2008. It will be replaced by Quick Service dining.

The Wave, new table service, will open on the first floor, will open soon after the Concourse Steakhouse closes.

FEBRUARY 2008

The Spirit of Aloha 8:00pm Show at Disney's Polynesian Resort is cancelled for Wednesday and Thursday, February 27 & 28, 2008.

The Magic Kingdom's Tomorrowland Noodle Station is open now from 5pm to 9pm (or if the park closes officiallly earlier it will close earlier) from now until August 23, 2008.

The Lunching Pad in the Magic Kingdom's Tomorrowland is now serving a variety of new items, including soy milk, along with regular and chocolate milk, carrots and celery sticks with ranch dip ($3.69), and an apple crunch pack ($1.29). Soy milk is also now available at other Magic Kingdom locations, including the Village Fry Shoppe, Sleepy Hollow, and Sunshine Tree Terrace.

Effective Wednesday, February 20, Passholders can book Room Only Plus Dining Package offers. These exclusive offers will allow Annual Passholders to book rooms with the addition of the Disney Dining Plan, Disney Deluxe Dining Plan and Wine add-on without having to purchase additional Magic Your Way tickets. Regular package reservation and cancellation policies apply. For more information and to book your package, contact the Walt Disney Travel Company directly at 407-828-8101. A valid adult Annual Pass is required at check-in.

Yachtsman Steakhouse will be closed for refurbishment from February 18-26, 2008.

Sweet Spells at the Hollywood Studios will be closed from February 17 - March 14, 2008

Orlando-area media recently reported that Downtown Disney's Raglan Road, an Irish pub and restaurant, was closing. This report was made in error -- Raglan Road is still open, with no plans to close.

JANUARY 2008

A photo package will be included for ALL reservations made for April 27, 2008 and beyond for Princess Storybook Dining at the Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot. Prices are as follows:

Breakfast: $28.99 ages 10 and older; $12.99 ages 3-9
Lunch: $30.99 ages 10 and older; $13.99 ages 3-9
Dinner: $35.99 ages 10 and older; $14.99 ages 3-9

Holiday Pricing: May 25, 2008 - July 5, 2008 :

The seasonal Mickey's Backyard BBQ will resume on March 6, 2008. This buffet dinner and dance features entertainment and character experiences Thursday and Saturday nights only from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the outdoor pavilion. The All-You-Can-Eat Buffet features cole slaw, cornbread, baked chicken, BBQ pork ribs, hot dogs and all the fixin’s, baked beans, corn-on-the-cob, watermelon, ice cream novelties, lemonade, iced tea, beer, and wine. Cost is $44.99 for adults and $26.99 for children ages 3-9 (tax and gratuity included). A surcharge will apply during the peak holiday season, March 16-30, 2008: $48.99 (ages 10+) and $28.99 (ages 3-9). Infants ages 0-2 are free, but need to be counted in party size. The Spirit of Aloha 8:00pm Show at Disney's Polynesian Resort is cancelled for Tuesday, January 15, 2008. The 5:15pm show will go on as scheduled.

Wolfgang Puck Express at Downtown Disney Marketplace will be closed for refurbishment beginning January 7 through March 6. Once it reopens, there will be new menu choices, and an expanded indoor dining area. During this time, the West Side location will remain open.

Holiday Dining Surcharges that were in effect for the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holiday seasons will also be in effect from March 16-30, 2008. Prices will be higher at the following restaurants: Boma Breakfast and Dinner, Cape May Breakfast and Dinner Buffet, Chef Mickey's Breakfast and Dinner, Trails End Buffet, 1900 Park Fare Breakfast and Dinner, 'Ohana Breakfast and Dinner, Captain's Grille Breakfast Buffet, Tusker House, Garden Grill, Princess Storybook Dining, Crystal Palace, Liberty Tree Tavern Character Dinner, Cinderella's Royal Table, and Play 'n' Dine at Hollywood and Vine.

Effective January 1, 2008, the AAA Five Diamond Victoria & Albert's restaurant at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, will implement a modified age policy and will be geared specifically towards adults and older children. Guests ages 10 and above are invited to dine at this establishment. Walt Disney World Resort caters to Guests of all ages. Victoria & Albert's provides a unique fine-dining experience focused specifically on adults and older children. Out of the 98 full-service dining options at the Walt Disney World Resort, Victoria & Albert's will be the only restaurant that showcases more of an adult-oriented atmosphere.

Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Shows for January 2 and 3, 2008, have been cancelled due to the cold weather.
