12 Disney World Rides That We’ll Never Ride Again

Disney World is full of incredible rides.

Mission: SPACE

But let’s be honest, not every ride is going to be a hit for everyone, and some are just better left to memory lane. Let’s talk about 12 rides that might not make it onto our “must-do” list again (though you might feel differently)!

Here’s a breakdown of 12 Disney World rides that might leave you feeling a bit queasy or just plain tired of them:

1. Mission: SPACE

This isn’t your average space exploration. Mission: SPACE throws you into a centrifuge, simulating the intense G-forces astronauts experience during launch.

It can be an awesome experience, but those G-forces can also leave you feeling queasy, so ride with caution if you’re prone to motion sickness!

To be fair, there’s also a tamer version available, so you can still join the mission.

2. Tomorrowland Speedway

This is the ride for you to channel your inner race car driver and zoom around the track in your very own gas-powered vehicle.

But between the fumes from the engines and the bumps along the way, this ride might not be the smoothest experience for everyone.

Plus, if you’re not a fan of waiting in long lines under the hot sun, you might want to skip this one altogether.

3. Mickey’s PhilharMagic

This one’s your chance to immerse yourself in the magic of Disney music and animation in this 3D concert experience with Donald Duck and friends.

It’s definitely a feast for the senses — until those 3D glasses start to give you a headache, that is.

While some guests can enjoy the show without any issues, more often than not, we find ourselves reaching for the aspirin before the final curtain falls.

4. Space Mountain

This iconic indoor roller coaster rockets you through the darkness on a thrilling adventure.

Sure, the drops, twists, and complete lack of light at times are exciting, but they can also trigger motion sickness.

If you’re prone to feeling queasy (like us), you might want to choose a different ride.

5. Kali River Rapids

Escape the Florida heat with a wild raft ride down a churning river! But prepare to get soaked — it’s a guaranteed drenching!

It’s a refreshing way to cool down, but if you want to stay dry, this might be a skip. (We do since we’re not fans of soggy clothes and squishy shoes.)

6. “it’s a small world”

This beloved boat ride takes you on a journey through a world of singing dolls and international cultures.

The song is undeniably catchy, but let’s be honest, it can get stuck in your head for days on end.

So, if you’re not a fan of repetitive music or singing dolls, you might find yourself wishing for a one-way ticket out of this small world after just a few minutes. Ride at your own peril!

7. Star Tours

Buckle up for a hyperspace adventure through the Star Wars galaxy!

With its 3D effects and thrilling flight sequences, it’s a must-do for Star Wars fans,  but if you suffer from back problems, you might want to think twice before strapping in.

The bumpy and jerky ride can be tough on sensitive spines, and typically leaves us feeling sore long after we’ve returned to solid ground.

8-9. Mad Tea Party & Alien Swirling Saucers

Hold on tight as you spin through a world of vibrant colors and whimsical music in these dizzying teacups and UFOs.

These rides are a classic Disney experience, but the constant spinning can be a recipe for dizziness for some riders.

If you tend to get motion sickness easily, these might be a hard pass.

10-12. TriceraTop Spin, The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, & Astro Orbiter

All of these rides soar through the air and offer some great views of the park. Also, for the little ones, they can be a magical experience.

However, the constant spinning can definitely trigger motion sickness for adults and older kids.

If you have ridden Dumbo the Flying Elephant, you can skip these, because they are basically the same ride.

  1. Space Mountain for me. It’s the jerkiness of the ride. California is so smooth in comparison. This is janky like the Matterhorn Bobsleds. I will say though the last time we went in was in the very back and it was less jerky. But I won’t wait longer than 20 minutes for the Orlando version.
