The company recently announced that it had added more trains and is currently making 16 roundtrips between Orlando and Miami per day. Now, a new Brightline expansion is going to make travel easier on the West Coast.

According to Brightline, President Joe Biden is investing $3 billion in Brightline West to bring a new route from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. This is part of a larger investment of $8.2 billion in federal funding for 10 passenger rail projects nationwide. The company shared a post from the president regarding the new route recently on X (formerly Twitter).

According to the president, the journey from L.A. to Las Vegas can take up to seven hours, so this addition will make travel between the cities much more convenient. Traveling at 200 miles per hour, the new service between the two areas will take just over two hours.
