Menus at Yak and Yeti Restaurant

This place is OK. I think it’s overhyped because of the theming of the restaurant. Yes it’s super cool but the menu is very adventurous and different. It’s not good theme park food honestly. You don’t want to eat this and go ride Everest after. It’s something you should find at Disney Springs and not AK. Still good, just different.
Pros:
Great theming and conveniently locatedCons:
Food is rich and not really theme park food.Reviewed by Anonymous Review Date: 09/26/2023

First visited in 2019 with my family (dad is a picky eater) - food was amazing! Service was also incredible!
Ate there again a couple weeks back and it did not live up to expectations. Generous portions but food quality not great for the price. The honey chicken was lovely, but the chicken/shrimp teriyaki was lacking sauce. Service felt rushed
Overall disappointing and would probably swerve the next time we visit animal kingdom
Pros:
Large menu - all Asian food Big portionsCons:

The atmosphere is exactly what I was expecting from a restaurant called Yak & Yeti and the service was amazing. However, the food was sub-par. First, the dishes were all Japanese or Chinese and I was expecting something Himalayan. Second, the food was in *excessive* quantities. There was so much food that I knew I wouldn't be able to finish is all. This wouldn't have been a problem if I didn't have to carry around my leftovers all day or if it had tasted good. The descriptions of the food didn't include all the flavors and I ended up with something that was extremely sweet. I am diabetic and specifically looked for ingredients that would be sugary and there were no descriptions on what I ordered (the Dragon Bowl) that indicated there would be sweet anything. When my meal arrived it was, luckily, divided into sections so I was able to eat only those items that I wanted to eat, but the fish was drowned in sauce and the flavor was absolutely not good. I'm a big Disney fan and expected more.
Pros:
Great atmosphere and amazing service.Cons:
Too much food that was not very good. Menu didn't disclose everything. Foods were all drowning in the sauces.Reviewed by JoeR73 Review Date: 01/13/2022

So, this is a great restaurant, have eaten here many times, great food/great service...however...apparently you have to be part of the Landry’s Club to be able to reserve a seat now, which I find very unfair! Not a good way to do business or treat people 🙁
Pros:
Great food/serviceCons:
Have to be a Landry’s Club member :/Reviewed by Kyrie Review Date: 05/30/2021

Overall, this place is ok. We enjoyed the potstickers. For entrees we had the burger and the sweet and sour chicken. Both were just pretty average, although the rice was really dry, but I'm sure it was just a bad batch. We had a minor food issue that was handled really well by the server but poorly by the manager and I can't recommend this place based on that. We both work in customer facing environments so if something's wrong we keep things low-key but still expect service, whereas it seemed like the priority for the manager on duty was just that we weren't making a scene.
Pros:
Potstickers, friendly hosts and serversCons:

I made the wrong selection - Pork Belly Ramen. Expecting to get actual pork belly ramen, I was disappointed to get a bowl with three small slices of pork, a few mushrooms, an egg (excellently cooked), a few noodles, and a huge amount of aging and raw carrots. The carrots so dominated the flavor that the meal became disgusting after a few bites, because the carrots tasted old. My alcoholic drink was good. I had been craving pineapple upside down cake, but based on the poor entree, I was reluctant to spend $12 on a slice of dubious cake. Service is friendly and efficient, but the floor near us was dirty after a large group left, and no effort was made to clean up.
Pros:
Good alcoholic beverages; good serviceCons:

We did not have a reservation but we stopped in and asked if they were taking walk-ins and how long the wait was? We were told 10-15 minutes so we gave them our name and waited and waited. Every time someone else came in and asked the girls at the desk told them a different wait time. One girl would say 15 minutes, another would say 30 minutes. We checked back after 25 minutes and were told we were next. 15 minutes later we were seated at a table by the door so we did not experience any atmosphere. Our waiter Paul was great. We ordered the green beans with chili sauce for an appetizer and for our entrees I ordered Chicken Teriyaki Kabobs and my husband ordered Sweet and Sour Chicken. We both agreed our meals were ok but not great. We had better take-out at home. For the price we would probably not go back.
