NEWS: Refurbishment Announced for Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter Hotel Rooms

How do you choose where to stay on your Disney World trip?

It’s not as easy a choice as you might think! Should you stay on-property or off-property? Will you be booking a Value, Moderate, or Deluxe resort? Several factors can go into your decision, and if you’re planning an upcoming trip we have an update you might want to know about.

Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter Resort will be undergoing refurbishments to certain rooms soon! The Disney World website shows that from May 2024 through November 2024, some rooms at the hotel will be renovated, meaning they won’t be available to folks staying here.

It also means guests of this hotel could hear some construction during their stays, but Disney is usually pretty good about keeping it to daytime hours so that no one dares disturb your slumber.

You can request a room on a higher floor.

What’s strange is that Disney hasn’t made any sort of announcements about this refurbishment, so we’re not sure if these are regular maintenance renovations being taken care of or if the refurb means new, rethemed, and refreshed rooms will soon be unveiled at this hotel.
