4 Criminally Underrated Magic Kingdom Restaurants

Finding GOOD food in Magic Kingdom can be a bit of a struggle sometimes…but it doesn’t have to be! You just have to know where to look.

Cinderella Castle

We often say this park has some of the worst food options, especially when it comes to quick service. But today, we’re going through some restaurants we consider criminally underrated. Let’s see if you agree or disagree!

Sleepy Hollow

We’ll shout this from the rooftops because it’s arguably the BEST quick service spot in all of Magic Kingdom. But people continue to walk by Sleepy Hollow every single day!

Sleepy Hollow Refreshments

It’s an unsuspecting building between Cinderella Castle and Liberty Square and it doesn’t exactly stick out. Hiding here though is a delicious Sweet and Spicy Chicken Waffle with homemade chips. We’re sitting here drooling just thinking about it, to be honest.

This spot also serves up classic theme park food like Corn Dogs and Funnel Cakes. If you want a special sweet treat, check out the Fresh Fruit Nutella Waffle! It’s even more amazing than it sounds.

Wait, it gets better — grab a Mickey Waffle here in the morning during breakfast hours!

We will say it lacks a TON of variety, but you can still get savory, spicy, and sweet all in one spot. Plus, it’s on Mobile Order!

Columbia Harbour House

Apparently, food in Liberty Square is neglected as a whole because Columbia Harbour House also made our underrated list! People typically hit the quick service spots in plain sight like Pinocchio Village Haus, Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe, or Casey’s Corner (which we actually highly recommend), and then they aren’t hungry by the time they make it over to this spot!

Columbia Harbour House

However, Columbia Harbour House is one of the few places you can find good quick-service seafood (yes, it does exist). From Lobster Rolls to Grilled Salmon to the Sea Captain’s Fish Sandwich, there is a wide variety of choices. Don’t worry seafood haters — they have chicken tenders too.

We enjoy the food, but our favorite part of this place might be the seating! First of all, the air conditioning is a nice break from the Florida heat. Second, it has two stories of seating and we love heading up to the second floor to eat!

You can Mobile Order your meal here next time you’re in Magic Kingdom. Be sure to order a side of Hushpuppies!

Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen

When you hear about table service restaurants at Disney World, you probably hear about Cinderella’s Royal Table or Be Our Guest over and over again. Even Tony’s Town Square is talked about more, and although the menu has improved, it doesn’t compare to Skipper Canteen!

This Adventureland restaurant is a hidden gem and it’s a great place to try something new! The menu is full of things you don’t see on other theme park restaurant menus like Orinoco Ida’s Cachapas and a whole Sustainable Fish.

Perkins Thai Noodles with Steak

Also, take a look at all of the Easter eggs hiding around the restaurant, especially if you are a fan of Disney’s Secret Society of Explorers and Adventurers! You won’t regret it.

You can book reservations for Skipper Canteen ahead of time, and we highly recommend doing so. If you can’t get one, keep checking as you get closer to your trip or you can try to join the walk-up waitlist when you’re in Magic Kingdom. Remember, dining reservations open 60 days beforehand!

Sunshine Tree Terrace

We know — Aloha Isle is basically the Taylor Swift of DOLE Whip spots in Disney World. She’s the cool girl in school, but that doesn’t mean you should skip out on the others!

Sunshine Tree Terrace

Sunshine Tree Terrace has a signature special menu item — the Citrus Swirl! It’s made with DOLE Whip Orange and Vanilla Soft Serve swirled together. It has cooled us down on a LOT of hot days in Disney World, and it’s nice to get something different from the pineapple flavor.

Citrus Swirl

If you stop by this Adventureland snack spot, you’ll also find strawberry DOLE Whip, chocolate soft serve, and the famous I Lava You Float. Or, choose from several other combinations of sodas and soft serve to make your own float!
