When you’re at Disney World, you should stay at a hotel that fits what you like, so why not match your resort to your Enneagram type?
There are nine Enneagram types, and if you aren’t sure which is yours, you can take a quiz online! This system is a theory that assigns each person a personality type. This can be interesting to see where you fit best and can also help you understand your motivations and behaviors.
The Perfectionist
The first Enneagram type is the Perfectionist. This type likes to follow the rules and do things the correct way. They are motivated by wanting to live the “right” way. This type wants to be perfect which can backfire as they can be too hard on themselves and others. The Perfectionists are ethical, critical of themselves, dedicated, and reliable.
The resort that fits the Perfectionist type is the Grand Floridian! This resort is very proper which is perfect for a Perfectionist. The Grand Floridian is held to a high standard being a deluxe resort. With Mary Poppins touches around certain parts of the resort, it is practically perfect in every way! This resort is dedicated to keeping up appearances, making it the perfect resort for a type one!
The Helper
Type twos are the Helpers and they want to always be there to lend a hand or be a support system for their family and friends. This personality type is giving and is motivated by their need to be loved. This personality type is caring, warm, and has fears of being unwanted.
The resort that matches the Helper personality best is the Riviera Resort! This resort is always there when you need it! This resort has helpful transportation like the Skyliner, making it easier to get to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. This resort is one of Disney’s newest so it is understandable that this resort still is trying to establish itself.
The Achiever
Type three is the Achiever. This personality type is motivated by their desire to be successful. They want to avoid failure and put on a front that they are successful to others. Type threes are productive and image-conscious. Sometimes this type feels that their worth is based on what they accomplish rather than who they are.
If this sounds like you, a perfect resort is the Polynesian Village Resort! This resort has seen a lot of changes in recent years. It is an opening day resort so it has felt that it has had to keep up with the changing times. The Polynesian Village continues to have construction and new additions but we love this resort the way it is.
The Individualist
Type four is the Individualist. People who fall into this personality type desire to be as unique as possible, they do not like to be ordinary. These people are creative, empathetic as well as sensitive. Sometimes this personality type shows jealousy.
We think the POP Century Resort falls into this personality type. With differently themed decades all around the resort, this hotel is unique and sets itself apart from others! This resort is creative and colorful, which can make Individualists feel at home! This resort tends to be overshadowed by other resorts which can play into feelings of jealousy.
The Investigator
Type five is the Investigator, this personality type loves to learn and is oftentimes referred to as a scientist or professor. This personality type is private and detached as they want to conserve their energy to learn more about the world. This type is curious, and knowledgeable, and can sometimes feel like a loner.
Animal Kingdom Lodge fits into this personality type well. There is so much to learn and see at Animal Kingdom Lodge. It is the perfect resort for those who want to learn more about the world. This resort is detached and far from most things on the property, which can make it feel like it is on its own island far away from other things.
The Loyalist
The sixth personality type is the Loyalist. Type sixes value friendship and loyalty but sometimes think about the worst-case scenario. With feelings of anxiety, this personality type likes to be prepared. Type sixes can be witty and want a sense of security.
We think that Art of Animation fits perfectly as a Loyalist. For those looking to have Disney all around them, loyal to Disney’s brand of animation, this resort is great! People who like to be prepared can find peace knowing that this resort offers an additional mode of transportation on the Skyliner, making it easier to get to where they need to be. There is no need to stress about finding something everyone likes, as this resort has themed areas for four of Disney and Pixar’s most popular films!
The Enthusiast
Type seven is the Enthusiast. This personality type serves up positive vibes and is a fun and loving type. They like to be spontaneous and prefer not to be tied down. Type sevens like to stay busy so that way they can avoid any emotional pain. An Enthusiast likes to have a good time, is adventurous, and desires to be happy and satisfied.
Caribbean Beach is the perfect match for someone who is an Enthusiast. This resort is full of adventure! If you ever get bored, you can simply hop on the Skyliner and check out other resorts or take a trip to EPCOT or Hollywood Studios. This resort serves up positive tropical vibes which are great for someone who likes to have fun!
The Challenger
The Challenger is type eight. This personality type does not like to look weak or vulnerable. Sometimes they can be seen as defenders or protectors. Type eights are leaders, direct, and like to take charge.
The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin is perfect for anyone who is a type eight. This resort is not owned by Disney, but sits on Disney property and gets certain benefits from people staying at Disney-owned hotels. This resort wants to defend its turf and protect its special privilege to act as it is almost a Disney-owned resort.
The Peacemaker
The final Enneagram type is type nine, the Peacemaker. Type nines value harmony, comfort, and peace. They want to avoid conflict and keep the peace to make others happy. Type nines can be described as laid back and accommodating.
We think Saratoga Springs fits type nine well. This resort is very laid-back and has a peaceful vibe. This resort is spread out and has walking paths and pools throughout the resort, making it perfect to find somewhere peaceful to relax. It also offers boat transportation and a walking path to Disney Springs to allow everyone to find something to enjoy.
