REMINDER: Disney World’s Blizzard Beach Closes Tomorrow

We know it can be a lot to keep up with temporary closures and reopenings in Disney World.

Rides often close for refurbishments. Even restaurants occasionally close for refurbishments. Sometimes the Skyliner closes for scheduled maintenance. But on the water park side of things, Disney World closes the WHOLE PARK for maintenance, all at the same time — and we have one water park closing to remind you about tomorrow.

As of tomorrow, Blizzard Beach will be closed for refurbishment.

However, Typhoon Lagoon will be reopening on the same date. Over the past few years, Disney World has done this weird thing where it only has one water park open at any given time, rather than having both open like it was before Disney World’s historic closure in 2020. Disney has also confirmed this trend will be continuing, at least for now.

So if you had some plans to have some water park fun during your Spring Break Disney World vacation, you’ll want to plan to go to Typhoon Lagoon. Disney World’s water parks do not require a reservation but you do need to either buy a ticket to the water park or add the Park Hopper Plus or Water Park and Sports Option to your Disney World tickets.

You’ll also need to know how to use Disney World transportation to get to Typhoon Lagoon. You’ll need to take a bus to Disney Springs and then transfer onto the bus for Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon. Bus service from Disney Springs to Typhoon Lagoon begins around 45 minutes before the water park opens. Likewise, bus service from Typhoon Lagoon to Disney Springs ends about one hour after the water park closes.
