It just got even harder to get on your favorite rides in Disney World.
“Why?” you may ask. It’s spring break season so the parks have been packed with guests that have a break from school and work. However, this week is full of spring break crowds and pre-Easter crowds so the parks have been extra busy.
Wait times have skyrocketed at most of the popular Disney World rides but the biggest increase was over at Flight of Passage. If you want to ride the Avatar-themed ride, we highly recommend rope dropping it when Animal Kingdom opens or purchasing an Individual Lightning Lane.
Buying an Individual Lightning Lane guarantees that you’ll get to skip the regular standby line at Flight of Passage — Genie+ is an entirely separate purchase.
Take a look at the wait times in each park over the last week and decide for yourself if you should buy Genie+ (you’ll want to plan this ahead of time since it has been selling out) or Individual Lightning Lanes for certain attractions.
Magic Kingdom
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is still the longest wait time in Magic Kingdom, so if you’re looking for some rides with shorter wait times, check out the PeopleMover, Mad Tea Party, and Tomorrowland Speedway.

Is Flight of Passage a must for you? Tell us in the comments!
I was just there for the first week of spring break kickoff and we never waited more than 12 minutes in any line at Disney or Animal Kingdom and that also includes Avatar. My best advice is to pay your $29.99 for the Genie pass and then pay the $16 extra for Avatar. The app isn’t very user friendly at first You can call Disney helpline and they will help you and walk you through it. You can book everything including your lunches at the park.
At midnight the day before you go to the park, you can pick all the rides that you want to ride at that particular park there is a limit to how many you can pick. What we did was pick them all at 7:01am We went in on the morning of our Park day. We picked our first ride. Once you get to your first ride, go ahead and book your second ride. It will show you the times that are. It’s available and continue to do this each time you get to your ride. The algorithm is able to show you rides that are up next for you. It makes it very easy and it gives you an hour to get to each one. You cannot get on the ride one minute late or one minute early.. We did find there were a couple rides where you could get on 5 minutes early but it was very rare. We literally bypassed every line at both parks and never waited more than 12 minutes for any ride.Good luck and Have fun
