Hot dog! We’re no weather channel, but we call it like we see it. When the temperature starts rising in Disney World, you know what that means. Summer will be here before we know it!
If you’ve got a Disney World vacation coming up soon, you may want to pack for the HEAT. Even though summer is still a few months away, the weather in Orlando did NOT get the memo. Here’s what you need to prepare for this April.
OK, lots of people like to joke that Disney has a secret “weather dome” to keep that warm, sunny Florida weather overhead year-round, but today, we’re here to talk about another dome. According to local news affiliate Click Orlando News, “a large dome of high pressure” is impacting the Southeast and causing a period of hot, dry weather in Flordia.
The good news is that you probably won’t see much rain over the next few days in Disney World. Reports are showing high temperatures ranging from 86–94° over the next seven days. If you’ve been to Disney World around this time before, you may notice that these temperatures are slightly higher than usual. The average high in Orlando around this time is 83 degrees, per Click Orlando News.

So, what does this mean for YOU? Well, pack like it’s summer. With the Florida humidity at play and that bright, direct sunlight in the parks, even a nice 80-degree forecast can end up feeling WAY hotter than you might expect. Bring a portable fan, a cooling towel, and lots of shorts, tank tops, or lightweight clothing.
