Nowadays, visiting Walt Disney World is expensive! There are so many new added costs and price increases around the parks and resorts — it can seem overwhelming at times! Guests now need to budget for things like Disney Genie+, airport transportation, and even MagicBands.
With so many new things to pay for, it’s more important than ever before to find some ways to save money!
We’ve got a list of things you can do before and during your vacation to save money at Disney World.
Look for special offers online!
Check out the Disney Springs “offers” page online while you’re in Disney World. The website often lists specials and events you might not have known about!
From dining promotions to special discounts in select stores, it never hurts to take a look at the website. You might end up saving some money.

Save on drinks in the parks!
If you didn’t know, Disney offers free water at almost every Quick Service location in the parks! But if you’re an Annual Passholder, there’s another way to pay less for drinks — bottled drinks, in this case.
All APs receive a 20% discount in most Disney World stores, so buy your bottled drinks in a Disney gift shop instead of a snack stand to get 20% off!

Disney Visa
Speaking of discounts, Disney Chase Visa credit cardholders also save money in Disney World! Visa cardholders get a 10% discount on purchases over $50.
Disney Visa members also receive discounts on dining and hotels, so be on the lookout for limited-time offers! You can also use your Disney Visa Rewards Dollars to pay for Genie+.

Save on refills
Can’t get enough of those Disney treats? Save money on refills by purchasing a reusable container!
You can buy a reusable popcorn bucket in any Disney park, and refills only cost $2! Over in Disney Springs, if you purchase a Corkcicle cup with a frozen drink, you will receive $2 off all refills!

Pay less for Starbucks
While you can’t redeem your Starbucks rewards points in the parks, you can use them at Disney Springs!
You can use both Starbucks and Disney gift cards in all Disney World Starbucks locations as well! If you want to save even more money, try a drink from a Joffrey’s location instead — their beverages are less expensive, and they take AP discounts!

Look for hotel discounts
Did you know you can stay at the DVC resorts on property even if you aren’t a DVC member?
You can save money by renting DVC points (we love David’s Vacation Club Rentals!) instead of booking a room directly through Disney. Other websites like Hotwire, Undercover Tourist, and Priceline may also score you some resort savings.

Save on Uber/Lyft
If you’ve never used a ridesharing service like Uber or Lyft, you can use it in Disney World and receive a first-time rider discount. Uber and Lyft regularly offer promotions like a $5 credit toward your first ride!
Despite the price hikes in recent years, there are still plenty of ways to save money in Disney World!
