I’ve eaten here for breakfast, and lunch/dinner. This was pre-closure so it was a buffet, which I don’t know if that has returned yet. The cast members were SO friendly. Some of the nicest I’ve encountered! The buffet had a lot of choices and would probably be good for all kinds of diets. But an absolute highlight for me is the price point! It’s such an affordable meal which means you have more money for souvenirs, in-park snacks or anything else!
Pros:
Scenic location, great cast members, affordableCons:

We Love trails end. Whether you go for lunch dinner breakfast or brunch there is a very large variety of dishes to choose from and there’s something for everyone. I strongly feel this is one of Disney World hidden jams for $25 per person you get a fresh good quality delicious meal every time. Very large variety of food choices and there’s something for everyone. The pulled pork is delicious! Very easy to get ADRs even up to the last minute and we are always seated right after we check in with little to no wait . It is a must do for us every trip!
Pros:
Very large variety of food choices and there’s something for everyone.Cons:
The lower part of the dining room a.k.a. Crockett’s tavern is used to sit more guests and is sort of far away from the buffet area .Reviewed by Anonymous Review Date: 09/28/2018

Trails End is a never miss for us on our visits to Disney World. Breakfast or dinner we love it. We have never had a hard time getting a reservation. The food selection is ample and very good. With a family of seven everybody is contented and smiling after our meal. It is a buffet and the selection is huge. The wait staff cast members are so friendly and attentive.Price is moderate as Disney goes. The restaurant can be noisy but the camp theming is spit on in the Disney way we all love.
Pros:
Food selection, quality, price, ease of reserving and friendly staff.Cons:
Maybe to noisy for some.Reviewed by Smitty Review Date: 09/27/2018

Hubbo and I ate here on a very hot afternoon. Checked in by a cast member who loved to say Y'All every other word, but we were seated within 15 minutes. Food was plentiful, hot and very tasty. Plenty of choices - salads, fried chicken, pulled pork and lots of desserts. Our waitress Jen was great, filling our drinks and just being sincerely friendly. Nice boat ride back to the Magic Kingdom, too.

We did Sunday brunch here mainly because we heard the restaurant would accommodate vegans like my older daughter. My youngest daughter and I ate off of the buffet and it was really, really good. They have traditional breakfast food and lunch items including freshly carved meats. I stuck to breakfast items and had more food than I could eat. Baked goods like corn muffins pushed me over the edge. Our server was friendly and attentive. He talked to the chef and brought out a special tofu and vegetable dish for my vegan daughter which was flavorful and made her day. Fantastic experience all around!

We really enjoyed our experience at this restaurant for a family dinner away from the parks. The sheer number of salads to choose from is overwhelming in a good way! The women in our party could have dined solely on the salads. The men however, loved the meat selection! Everything was delicious! This meal was more expensive than we expected, but still a good value for a Disney dinner.

A major find that has become a tradition for over 4 years. The staff is very friendly and observant. It is a small area to obtain so much food so there were lots of "excuse me" and "I am sorry" being said among us all. The food was very tasty, hot, great variety, and no rush to leave. Great vegetarian selections. Can't wait to return in 2017.
Pros:
Great variety...hot foodCons:

I was extremely surprised that this buffet was as good as it was. My family talked me into eating at Trails End, and I'm glad we did! There were so many choices on the buffet that were not listed on the menu. The brisket and baked potatoes were to die for! My husband ate several plates of steamed shrimp. My daughter, 13 ate ribs, baked beans, mashed potatoes, fries chicken, salmon... The corn bread was moist and warm. There were endless salads, pastas, soups, fruit and desserts. One reason we ate at Trails End was because we rented a golf cart so we could drive around the campgrounds and see the decorated campsites/RVs, as well as watch the water parade and fire works from the beach and go to Chip and Dales campfire. This was one of our favorite evenings. We planned on taking the boat to MK but stayed at Ft Wilderness the entire evening!

This was a first for us. having recently read lots of fantastic reviews we decided to give it a try for dinner. WOW!
The restaurant is very quiet and located next to the Hoop De doo venue. We were seated early but it was July 2016 so you would expect the restaurant to be fairly busy but we were literally one of only six or seven tables at 5pm.
The service here was outstanding. Unfortunately, I can't remember the young man's name but he was everything WDW service should be and more.
The food is what we would expect of American buffets but can rarely be found at WDW. So much choice we could barely believe it. The buffet is small but a wonderful wide range of foods.
To start you can choose from soups, salads and chilli.
The carved park, southern fried chicken and ribs were amazing. We loved the addition of the jacket potato fixings bar.
For dessert there was fresh fruit (whole fruit for a change) plus traditionals like key lime pie and fudge brownie but the greatest dessert was the bread and butter pudding - this was the amazingly good.
Don't overlook this place. The meal also only cost $25 per head - great value.
