New in 2007! In the summer of 2007 Disney's California Adventure introduced the Cruzin' Disney's California Adventure Tour, giving guests the opportunity to experience the innovative Segway personal transportation devices. The tour is held once per day in the morning before the park opens for the day. Guests meet outside the park at 7:15 and the tour lasts until about 10:00. Admission to Disney's California Adventure is not required, but those guests without park tickets will be escorted outside the park at the end of the tour. Tour guides will scan the park tickets of those who decide to remain in the park. Since the tour often starts before the Disneyland parking lots open, guests coming from off-site are asked to park in the Downtown Disney lot. They are provided with a parking voucher.
The first hour or so of the tour includes a continental breakfast
(juice, fresh fruit, coffee and muffins),
an introduction to the Segway, including the safety features, and
a series of hands-on lessons where everyone learns how to ride
their Segway and has a chance to practice. The remainder of the
time is spent riding around Disney's California Adventure with
stops for the tour guides to talk about the history and features
of the park, and a session of "free time" where participants can
ride around a section of the Paradise Pier area on their own.
In addition there is a
photo session where a Disney Photopass photographer takes group
and individual photos. At the end of the tour each participant
receives a copy of the group photo as well as a tour-exclusive pin.
Cost is $99 per person with a 20% discount for Annual
Passholders, Disney Visa Card holders and AAA members.
