Did You Even Really Go to Disney’s Polynesian Hotel if You Didn’t Do These 4 Things?

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is one of the most popular hotels on Disney World property.

Being on the Magic Kingdom Monorail loop certainly helps, but it’s also because of the immaculate theming of the hotel. This deluxe hotel is on the pricier side of Disney World accommodations, but if you’ve decided to stay there for your next trip, or at least visit, you can’t leave without doing these four things!

‘Ohana Noodles

One of the most iconic dishes in Disney World as a whole, but especially at the Polynesian, is the ‘Ohana Noodles. These are most famously known at the table service restaurant ‘Ohana, BUT there’s another way to get them!

You can also stop into the Tambu Lounge, which often has availability on their walk-up waitlist, to grab this iconic dish (it also means you don’t have to pay for the entire table service meal.

Tonga Toast

On a similar note, you also HAVE to grab the Tonga Toast from Kona Cafe (table service) or Capt. Cook’s (quick service) at some point. This is delicious cinnamon sugar french toast stuffed with bananas and covered in syrup.

Listen, if you’re not a fan of sugar, this won’t be your jam, but otherwise, you’ve got to grab this delicious breakfast. It’s certainly large enough to share…or you can enjoy it all yourself (which is what most of our team does).

Fireworks on the Beach

Staying at the Polynesian means you’re just steps away from seeing the Magic Kingdom fireworks show in a way you never have before — relaxing on the beach!

The best part about this? You can spread out, instead of being smushed up against people, and can even grab a Dole Whip right before you sit down. No need to secure a spot half an hour before! While you won’t see the projections on the castle or Main Street U.S.A., it’s a unique perspective that you’ll want to experience at least once.

Explore!

This is one of the most sought after hotels for good reason — the hotel is beautiful! The last thing you want to do is spend so much money on staying here and not take the time to explore!

Just start wandering, that’s our suggestion. There are signs that will get you back to where you need to go when you’re done exploring, so you won’t really get lost, but it’ll certainly be a peaceful walk!
