We Were TRICKED By the Crowds in Magic Kingdom! 😱

If you thought we were done with spring break crowds at Disney World… prepare yourself.

Spring Break crowds

We’re always keeping tabs on the latest wait times in Disney World. As they have risen and fallen over the past few weeks we had a glimmer of hope that we could finally see these crowds taper off a bit. However, it seems that spring break isn’t quite over for some, in fact, there’s a whole new wave of spring breakers we need to warn you about!

By the time you experience (and survive) Spring Break crowds at Disney World, you probably feel like you’ve earned a (well-deserved) badge of honor for your strategy and stamina. But, it appears that we’ve only passed the first wave of Spring Break vacationers and more have been waiting their turn.

Spring Break Crowds

During previous Spring Break times, we saw wait times across Disney World soar to multiple-hour waits for popular rides and attractions, and Genie+ sold out within minutes during the peak of the crowds. So, if you thought you were playing it safe and strategically picked a few weeks afterward to visit for the least crowds possible during spring, we’ve got news to share with you.

More of the U.S. will likely be continuing their Spring Break vacations starting this week. For example, New York and northern-based state schools are currently on vacation. Additionally, we’ve heard several international folks recently around the parks visiting for extended holidays.

Hollywood Studios crowds

In addition to anticipating higher crowds as we walked around the Disney World parks, we noticed that Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor had temporarily closed…

…Genie+ had sold out of a few popular attractions like Frozen Ever After, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Test Track, and Slinky Dog Dash

.. and several Individual Lightning Lanes had already sold out for the day, including Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Rise of the Resistance, and Avatar Flight of Passage.

Based on this information (combined with the crowds we saw at the TTC as we were entering Disney World today), we feared we could have been in for a busy day ahead of us.

Could this be a sign?

However, we felt a bit tricked (relieved more, really) when we stepped inside the park! Because once we got inside Magic Kingdom, the crowds we spotted didn’t seem too bad in comparison.

What a surprise

So it seems that we could very well be in for our second wave of high crowd levels over the next few weeks as more folks continue to enjoy their Spring Breaks, both domestically from other parts of the country and internationally. It’s also important to continue to check your My Disney Experience app for updated information as you plan and during your vacation so you can be best informed of how to plan your next steps!
