One of America’s biggest Airlines is about to make summer travel a whole lots easier…
Southwest Airlines has announced a brand new promotion that’s going to make booking last minute getaways much easier – and much cheaper – just in time for summer.
According to a release from the company, Southwest began offering special deals each Wednesday beginning on May 1st. Entitled “Wanna Go Wednesdays”, the promotion offers heavily discounted fairs for popular travel destinations that still have available seats for last minute travel. Some first day examples included $69 nonstop between Las Vegas and Long Beach, Calif., $89 one-way nonstop between Denver and Phoenix, and $109 one-way nonstop between Atlanta and Orlando.
Jennifer Bridie, Vice President Marketing Communications & Strategy at Southwest, said Wanna Go Wednesdays, “Customers have a whole new reason to look forward to the weekdays. Wanna Go Wednesdays is a new weekly program that allows customers to book the latest low fares on routes that are still available for last-minute bookings. We think this is a great way to highlight some spontaneous travel destinations at low fares for our customers.”
Wanna Go Wednesdays will certainly make spontaneous travel a much more viable option for many Americans this summer. Stay tuned to AllEars for more travel industry news.
