Universal‘s NEW theme park, Epic Universe, opens next year in Orlando, and we’re already SO excited.
We’ve been getting tons of sneak peeks of what we can expect from the new lands over the last few weeks, but did you know Universal is also building two new hotels right near the new park (technically three, but the third is IN the park)? Take a look at all these new photos showing the progress of the new construction!
Universal Stella Nova Resort and Universal Terra Luna Resort are the two sister hotels being built right near Epic Universe, and while they’re super bright, they’re not totally blinding to look at.
A common question: are Terra Luna and Stella Nova blinding to drive by?
View of Terra Luna starts 1/2 mile away on Universal Blvd. If traffic allow, you can focus on it. The colorful reflective tiles usually look like this with a bright setting sun.

They will be more reflective (and STUNNING) in the sun, but you won’t have to worry about being blinded when you drive or walk by.
View of Terra Luna at approximately same time as the first photo in this Thread. At the intersection of Kirkman Rd and Universal Blvd.

We seriously can’t get over how beautiful this new hotel is — Terra Luna is “inspired by the thrill of pushing the limits of discovery” according to Universal, and we think the design fits that really well!

Sun angle varies through the year. Past several weeks the setting Sun has been aligned behind drivers heading South on Universal Blvd. The end of the tower at right reflects the Sun and shines brightly with color. pic.twitter.com/7py8YM71bE

(Personally, I also think it reminds me of a mermaid in the best way possible, but that’s just me!)
Sometimes you can see Terra Luna sparkle like a jewel in the setting Sun. While driving South on Universal Blvd.

Thankfully, even in the setting sun, the tiles on both of these hotels aren’t overwhelming.

They just get prettier the more we look at them! Seriously, look at the design, the architecture, EVERYTHING makes us want to stay at these hotels the minute they open.

Focusing on the Stella Nova hotel a little bit, this one is very similar to its sister, but its coloring is different.

Stella Nova is “inspired by the infinite vastness of the unknown universe” according to Universal, and we don’t know about you, but that makes us want to go and think about life for maybe ever.

Don’t forget! These hotels are confirmed to open in 2025, with Universal Stella Nova Resort opening January 21st, 2025 and Universal Terra Luna Resort opening February 25th, 2025. Each will feature 750 guest rooms and will start at $147 a night based on stays for 4+ nights.
