The 5 Best Disney World Restaurants According to Yelp

We love eating on Disney World property when we can, but with over 200 restaurants to pick from, choosing a place can get pretty overwhelming.

Don’t fret, though. That’s why we’re here. We’re bringing you a list of the best-rated Disney World restaurants. Let’s find out if your favorite eatery made this list or not!

Let’s go over some of the restaurants that you might want to visit on your next Disney World trip — all based on the reviews from Yelp!

1. VICTORIA AND ALBERT’S

First up, 386 reviewers on Yelp rated the Victoria & Albert’s at 4.8 out of 5.

One reviewer mentioned, “Just the absolute best. Yes, it’s expensive but for a once-in-a-lifetime dining experience (or maybe you go more often if you’re in a different tax bracket) you can’t beat it.

Service was out of this world. Every dish was phenomenal. Ambiance was intimate, classy and memorable.”

Our Thoughts

Victoria & Albert’s Restaurant is luxury dining at its finest. The service was incredible — our servers explained every dish and drink and often had a back story about why it was being served and where the inspiration came from. We were able to meet some of the chefs, as well, and everyone was welcoming and professional.

With the very high price, we know that many people are wondering whether this experience is actually worth what you’ll pay. And that honestly depends on your own preferences. We think that people who love varieties of wine will have an incredible experience with all of the different pairings and how beautifully they work with the food. And if you want a very elevated dinner with amazing service and a luxurious feel, this restaurant really can’t be beaten.

Incredible food!

However, there are some other great meals in Disney World that — while not as fancy or exclusive — still serve amazing food and great drinks. Some of our favorite restaurants for a fancy meal are Jiko, Le Cellier, Topolino’s Terrace, and Wine Bar George. You’ll find great food and customer service at all of these locations, and the price tags are much more reasonable.

We had a great time!

But if you’re looking for a splurge, we can confirm that the food and drinks live up to the highest of expectations at Victoria & Albert’s.

2. WINE BAR GEORGE

Next on the list, we see that 754 reviewers on Yelp rated the Wine Bar George at 4.5 out of 5.

One reviewer mentioned, “Don’t let the location near Disney for you, this is not only one of the best wine bars in Florida, but probably in the upper tier of wine bars in the US.

A great selection of wines, with a focus on labels that are not your standard fare, and the type that you would find at any neighborhood bar. Obviously, based on location and the types of wines that are carried here, this isn’t necessarily your cheapest option. However, if you’re looking for a great experience, and are in afraid to pay a premium for location and ambience, this is a fantastic option.

The service is attentive with informative dialogue. The staff isn’t afraid to make recommendations based on preferences, popular trends, or if you’re looking for something off the beaten path.

Whenever I’m in the area, I always make it a point to stop here, typically on a date with my wife.

For dinner options, the burrata, the boards, and the flank steak for two are all excellent options. Recently, I tried their hummus plate, and that was enjoyable as well. The menu isn’t extensive, but all of the options are tasty and complement the wine offerings quite well.”

Wine Bar George

Our thoughts

Wine Bar George is a solid spot. You can come here just for drinks if you want, or just for appetizers, or just for an entree and a drink — it’s nice that you can customize your experience here to be as little or as much as you want it to be.

In our opinion, it’s a great date night, a girls’ or guys’ night out, or a place to escape the theme parks and get some awesome food and drinks. It’s a little on the pricier side, but you get what you pay for in terms of food and drink quality and service.

3. HOOP-DEE-DOO MUSICAL REVUE

Next, 261 reviewers on Yelp rated Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at 4.4 out of 5.

One review said, “We’ve ate here four times and it’s just as fun the fourth time as it is the first. The dry comedy never gets old. The food is always fantastic, the actors are great, the servers are good. Just not much you can say bad about this. When you decide to do something off the beaten path at Disney, this is a must-do.”

Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue

Our thoughts

Overall, Hoop-Dee-Doo is a hootin’ good time! The performances are incredible and very entertaining — there is almost always something to look at or listen to. It’s truly a very special experience that you can’t find in many other places, at least not to this level and theming. The energy in here is just unmatched!

But, if you want quiet meal where you aren’t on a set, timed schedule and don’t have to share food, this might not be the best choice for you. It’s loud and rowdy, and there will be entertainment happening pretty much the whole time. There also is a set menu, so you can’t customize your choices or order something else. Depending on how much you eat and drink, this could definitely be worth the price, especially since you get entertainment, too. Remember, beer, wine, and sangrias are included in the price, which is a pretty great deal for Disney World!

4. SATU’LI CANTEEN

Next, 589 reviewers on Yelp rated Satu’li Canteen at 4.4 out of 5.

One reviewer summed it up when they said, “Had an outstanding experience here from the service to the food. We were visiting for my birthday and I opted out of getting a drink I was excited to try just to save some cash, and the manager came over and asked if I had tried it and why I wasn’t drinking one and he went into the back and made me one himself. Bringing it back saying I had to try it and that it was a birthday gift! Made our day in Animal kingdom.

Not to mention the food at this place is stellar! Feels healthy but also delicious from the sauce to the tofu to the beef. Tons of space indoor and outdoor. Pro tip – mobile order ahead! You skip the line and just walk right up to grab your food.”

Satu’li Canteen

Our thoughts

Overall, Satu’li Canteen still lives up to the hype and has some truly delicious food. It’s so different from what you’re used to seeing in a theme park. The food here has unique flavors and can actually make you feel like you had a nutritious meal (slaw and boba balls are nutritious right?!).

It’s also really easy to customize your meal here. If you’re a fan of restaurants like Chipotle where you can add what you want to a bowl, this is a great option! And, like we mentioned above, if you want some “real food” for a change in the park (you know what we mean — not chicken nuggets and fries!), this is a great Quick Service spot to get that. You can get that “real food” feeling without having to sit down at and pay for a Table Service meal. But, if you are craving that simple, classic theme park food, then head elsewhere!

5. JIKO – THE COOKING PLACE

Last up, 597 reviewers on Yelp rated Jiko – The Cooking Place at 4.4 out of 5.

One review said, “Excellent fine-dining on Disney World property, located in the Animal Kingdom Lodge it’s a proper sit down and eat restaurant. If you aren’t here with family its a good place for a romantic meal and at the same time it’s comfortable enough to bring the kids to.

Delicious blend of traditional African, Indian and Mediterranean cuisine. They have a huge oak-wood oven that they use for certain dishes and the flatbread which impart that perfect smoky, charred taste.

Braaied Wild Boar Tenderloin: Creamy Pap, Chakalaka Tomatoes and Herb-smoked Oil. Our waiter basically forced us to order this and we were so thankful he told us we had to get it. Very delicious, oak-smoke kissed and a definite repeat.

Diver Scallop and Moroccan Snails: Seared Scallop with Confit Snails, Butternut Nhopi, Fennel Slaw, Fragrant Broth, The broth was delicious and we used it to dip our bread into.

Merguez-spiced Lamb Shank: Braised Lamb, Minted Peas, Lemon Potatoes, and Roasted Carrots. Tender and fragrant, loved the way it easily fell apart with a fork.”

Jiko

Our thoughts

Overall, we had a positive experience at Jiko! Our server was kind and helpful and took the time to explain everything on the menu. In terms of the decor and overall energy, we were very pleased! The atmosphere was colorful and friendly despite the stigma many people associate with signature dining experiences.

We loved eating here! Almost every dish surprised us (in a good way), so if you have some extra time on your vacation, consider Jiko! Of course, the prices are a bit high, but the quality of the food and the environment can make it forgivable (at least in our opinion).
