It's Mardi Gras Time at Universal Studios!
Let the Music Move You

Universal Orlando Resort will kick off its Annual Mardi Gras Party February 2, 2008. The streets will be filled with street performers, an amazing concert series of world class bands and the famous Mardi Gras parade. Now in its 13th year, Universal's Mardi Gras continues every Saturday evening through April 19. As a special bonus, celebrate the spirit of Mardi Gras with special shows in the French Quarter (located in the New York area of Universal Studios) by musicians straight from New Orleans. Enjoy some of the food that "The Big Easy" is famous for such as jambalaya, shrimp gumbo, catfish, andouille sausage, beignets and more.

One of the highlights of Universal Studios Mardi Gras is a high-spirited parade that winds its way through the streets. Enjoy 13 vibrant floats directly from New Orleans. The floats are designed by "Mr. Mardi Gras," Blaine Kern, whose company, Blaine Kern Artists, Inc., has built Mardi Gras floats since 1932. The float procession will include the traditional Jester, King and Queen, Riverboat Float, Boeuf Gras Float, Universal Float, Title Float and the King Gator float. This year's parade theme is "Discovering Utopia". The new floats are titled Babylon, Atlantis, Eden, Camelot, Shangri-La and El Dorado.

Wildly costumed float riders will toss millions of strands of beads and doubloons to the crowds cheering. Thousands of flags, decorations and tons of confetti transform Universal Studios into a Mega-Mardi Gras Party.

After the parade, guests will be entertained by some of the hottest internationally known musicians of today during the Mardi Gras Concert Series. Performers include Bret Michaels of Poison, The Go-Go's, Sara Evans, Third Eye Blind, Gretchen Wilson, Smokey Robinson, KC and The Sunshine Band, Kool & The Gang, Heart, Huey Lewis and The News, LL Cool J and Earth, Wind and Fire.

Universal Orlando's Mardi Gras combines the party atmosphere of the New Orleans festival with the opportunity to experience incredible theme park attractions. What's the best part of this Mardi Gras Celebration? It's all included with your Universal Studios Park Ticket. Well, except the food.

Theme Park Ticket Prices

$46.95 plus tax for entry after 5 p.m. to Universal Studios. Florida and Georgia residents can save $10 off a Mardi Gras valid after 5 p.m. ticket with a specially marked Coca-Cola product.

$15 plus tax for Mardi Gras Express Pass - Skip the regular lines on the selected attractions. Express Pass must be purchased at the same time you purchase your Universal Studios after 5 p.m. Mardi Gras ticket. NOTE: Mardi Gras Express Passes will cost $20 plus for the March 22nd and 29th events.

$67.00 plus tax for One Day admission to Universal Studios but there are other deals available on 1 day/2 parks and 2 day/2park which can be found at Universal Orlando's official website.

$129. 95 plus tax for a 2-Park Annual Power Pass. Black Out Dates Apply. Florida and Georgia Residents can receive $30 off with any Coke-Cola product.

$189.95 plus tax for a Preferred Annual Pass which is valid 365 days a year and includes Free Parking, plus discounts on food, merchandise, resort hotels and more. Flexible payment options are available.
