AllEarsNet.com's
Senior Editor Deb Koma just spent a too-short weekend in the World --
enjoy her photos of holiday decorations at the Yacht Club and Beach
Club, as well as the gingerbread house at Epcot's Liberty Inn. She also
brought back some photos of the new Viking Exhibit in the Norway Pavilion's
Stave Church.
|
The
Lobby of the Beach Club is all decked out with its traditional
edible carousel and more!
The carousel actually revolves! And the details on the tree are
themed
to the resort perfectly.

Although
the Yacht Club's model railroad village
display isn't edible like its sister resort's carousel,
it is still captivating.

Santa's
Gingerbread Workshop at the American Adventure's Liberty Inn sells
hot chocolate and cider as well as cookies.
You can also buy a postcard with the recipe for the gingerbread
for $1.00.
And did you know that the workshop is made of
820 pounds of sugar, 1060 eggs, 135 pounds of butter, 470 pounds
of flour,
and just a few chocolate chips -- 150 pounds' worth!

The refurbished Stave Church in the Norway Pavilion features an
exhibit on Vikings, with authentic
weapons and other artifacts, as well as figures of important Norwegians:
Olaf II, Erik the Red
and Rognvald, a Viking raider who invaded and colonized France.
The
exterior grounds of the church are home to a sculpture honoring
the Norwegian
long distance runner and Olympic medalist Grete Waitz.
