Holiday Ornament at American AdventureWalt Disney World has made the December holidays a Special Celebration throughout the parks and hotels. This is grand time to visit WDW and get in the HOLIDAY Spirit!

Each of the main theme parks and all the resorts have their own special way of decorating and celebrating the Holidays.

EPCOT HOLIDAYS AROUND THE WORLD

Epcot hosts an international showcase of holiday traditions including The Lights of Winter, a daily Tree Lighting ceremony with Mickey at 6:00 p.m. at the World Showcase Plaza Tree Stage, and themed storytellers (November 28 - December 30) around World Showcase. Not only can guests meet Santa Claus in the American Adventure showcase, but they also have the opportunity to hear storytellers detail the adventures of Père Noël in France, La Befana in Italy and other legends from around the world. Kwanzaa and Hanukkah observances are also featured.

The Candlelight Processional (November 28 - December 30) features a celebrity narrator accompanied by a huge live choir and a 50-piece orchestra.

And as an extra festive bonus, "IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth," the nighttime spectacular featuring fireworks, water and lasers, will have a touch of holiday magic added to its finale.

DISNEY'S ANIMAL KINGDOM

Disney's Animal Kingdom welcomes the holiday season with "Mickey's Jingle Jungle Parade." The parade blends the spirit of Disney's Animal Kingdom with the spirit of the holidays. Included in regular park admission, the holiday parade kicks off November 28 and continues daily through January 4, 2009 (dates subject to change).

Gathered around a towering 65-foot Christmas tree at the park's entrance, carolers will greet you with renditions of favorite seasonal classics.

At Camp Minnie-Mickey, you can meet Santa Goofy and other Disney characters dressed in their holiday garb at Santa Goofy's Holiday Village featuring festively dressed holiday trees, live entertainers and photo opportunities. The songs of the season resonate as carolers round out the scene.
