Shooting at Wet 'n Wild Water Park

Wet 'n Wild, located at International Drive and Universal Blvd., is a very popular water park for families visiting Orlando. Sometime on Sunday afternoon (4/13) a fight broke out at the water park among a large group (1600) of rival high school students visiting the area from south Florida. When police attempted to arrest one person it was reported that several kids jumped on the arresting officer. At that point, several hundred kids were escorted out to the parking lot.

The fighting reignited in the parking area where at least one, possibly two students, sustained non-life threatening gun shot wounds. Police found a .22-caliber pistol on one of 30 Xtreme Trips tour buses used to transport the teens. Police are still trying to confirm if it was the gun involved in the shootings.

Orlando police are still trying to sort out details. At this time, there is no suspect in the shooting.
